My mom partially grew up in Paducah, and I partly grew up everywhere. Having a Kentucky mama means that you drink hot toddies for most ailments. From colds to heartbreak, my mom made the honey, lemon, tea, and bourbon concoction. It was comfort in a cup. When I moved to Kentucky, I started drinking bourbon, ginger, and lime cocktails. Slowly, I wanted less ginger and more bourbon.  I like bourbon as much as the next guy, but I LOVE stories. Lucky for me, the bourbon world is abundant with history, scandal, camaraderie, and characters.  I have always been drawn to characters. I love complex, interesting, flawed, smart, loyal, industrious, and tenacious people. And the industry is full of them, all working towards the same goal- sharing the bourbon gospel, in their way, with their stories. So, here I am, sharing some of their stories and some of my own.
